Greater Fort Worth American Legion Post 516

As always there were lots of local parades and events going all over Tarrant County with our American Legion Family participating in many of them.

Post 516 partnered with the Woodhaven Neighborhood Association to celebrate our great country, the American Legion 100 Year Anniversary, the Woodhaven Community 50 Year Anniversary and the Woodhaven Neighborhood Association 30 Year Anniversary. Following and opening prayer, pledge of Allegiance and singing of our National Anthem, the celebration started and ended with great patriotic music performed live by local bands with presentations highlighting the American Legion and Woodhaven area accomplishments. The festivities concluded with hotdogs straight off the grill and fresh apple pie from a local bakery.

The day had a fine finish at the Haltom City American Legion Post 655 with a late afternoon social and the best view of the North East Tarrant County fireworks show from their parking lot.
