Please join Haltom City and the American Legion Post #655 as they pay tribute to those who died in our nation’s service, followed by a reception at post 655 with snacks. All Invited.

Remembrance Service for 12 British, Canadian and American volunteer pilots of the Royal Flying Corps and Royal Air Force in World War I

11 am: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas. Cemetery opens at 8 a.m.

Noon: Arlington Memorial Day ceremony; 601 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington

In Front of Elks Lodge 2114 in Cooperation with the VFW and American Legion Post 60, Riders and Auxiliaries.

3 pm: Moment of silence

The National Moment of Remembrance Act declares 3 pm local time on Memorial Day for Americans as an act of symbolic unity, to have a moment of silence in honor of the men and women of the United states who died in the pursuit of freedom and peace.

6:30 pm:  Mount Olivet Cemetery, 2301 N. Sylvania and 28th Street, Fort Worth (near the center of the cemetery)

Memorial Day will commemorate 90-years of Tarrant County Veterans participating in the Mount Olivet Cemetery Memorial Day Service.

7:30 pm: Flag Retirement at Post 516 at dusk, 6801 Manhattan Blvd, Fort Worth  (starting at 8:00 pm).
